Establishment of own production facilities (captive units) is an alternative to outsource to suppliers in other countries. The purpose of the seminar is to share experiences with this as a delivery model, as well as to obtain information on establishing and running businesses in the vicinity of Lithuania and Ukraine.
Rapid market changes, increased demands for efficiency and fierce competition means that many businesses need to rethink their business models. During recent years many companies have established their own businesses in countries with good access to highly qualified personnel and competitive cost levels. Such strategies give businesses new opportunities to refocus its resources on value-added activities.
The seminar is organized in cooperation between the Norwegian Computer Society and the Lithuanian and Ukrainian embassies to introduce the possibilities of setting up their own business in other countries. Through the seminar, four companies share their experiences in establishing their own business and outsource to Lithuania and Ukraine.
The Norwegian Computer Society has invited a variety of speakers with much experience in this subject;
- Introductions by Invest Lithuania og ambassador Yurii Onischenko at the Ukrainian embassy
- Rune Falstad, Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, Atea ASA
- Johnny Vik, Product Manager i Omega
